Call options – your questions answered
What can I get help with?
You can get help with all aspects of implementing CRM, business workflows, sales and order management in your business. There are three main ways that this help might be structured on our calls:
- Getting Clarity in your own mind about how you implement some of the valuable processes around CRM: using workflows, automating processes, sending quotes, getting paid, or how you might bring that all together. There's great strategic strength to getting clarity on this, so this is a really valuable planning opportunity for you and your business.
- Implement With Me: once clear on what you want to implement, how, and in what order, these one-to-one online meetings (or one-to-many, with your team), where we'll share screens, get things implemented, and we will record the session so that you can use it to recap or for team training later. We call this 'Done With You'.
- Implement For Me: if you know what you want to achieve but don't have the time or inclination (!) to do the implementation together, then let us know what you'd like to get set up, provide us with anything that we need to do so, and we can do that for you. We call this 'Done For You'.
To move forward with any of the above, just book the time you'd like to do the session (or have us work on your system) via one of the buttons above, and we'll get started with you.
If there's anything else you'd like to achieve that's not covered above, then please message us via the chat icon at the bottom of this page.
Which session should I book?
Book a 30-minute session if you've got a clear plan in mind for what you want to achieve and just want tot review or refine something, or if you just need a few pointers on questions you've got on doing something in the system.
Or, book a 60-minute session if you need more assistance - a more detailed planning session, or to implement something that requires a little more discussion or training.
See the FAQ below, 'So what can we achieve?' for a more detailed explanation of what might be covered in a session, or message us via the Messenger icon at the bottom of this page to discuss further.

How do I pay for the session?
When you book a 30- or 60-minute appointment via the links on this page, you'll receive an email with a link to pay. Payments for the sessions are taken via debit / credit card. Please arrange to make the payment before our session is due to begin. That we can get started promptly when the session starts.
Any questions, please use the messenger chat icon at the bottom of this page to get in contact.
So what can we achieve?
Every user and business is different - different business models, different goals, different levels of experience with technology, different levels of focus and attention. So being able to say definitively what you might achieve in a single 30- or 60-minute session is quite difficult. We've broken down what you might want to consider below.
What's your goal?
Some Connectably users want to implement everything that the software does , others see the system as just a simple contact management system that links with their Xero account and don't particularly want to implement any of the other features, other than managing contacts. There might come a time they want to do a little bit more which is where this guide might come in handy.
The full picture, or parts of it?
"CRM" is a much-used term in business but means different things to different people - from basic contact management to automated processes and workflows. As you read through, think about the way that you work in your business and what you'd like to achieve with your Connectably CRM account.
Connectably's SIMPLER Method
SIMPLER is a methodology that structures the sales, marketing and delivery processes for service-based small businesses into seven logical parts. These days, so much in modern small business operations is overcomplicated and the SIMPLER method helps you to focus on just those activities that deliver clear value to your business.
S = Systemise: Getting clarity in your own mind, in the context of your business, about how you'll use any of CRM, workflows, automate processes, build quotes or getting paid, and how you might bring what you do implement all together. Book a 30-minute session if all you want to do is review and refine a plan you've already got in your mind about what you want to do. Or, book a 60-minute session to get more clarity and a plan on what your business' workflow approach to end-to-end marketing, sales and implementation might look like. Most businesses find value in starting with this.
I = Inspire: This is the processes of getting visitors who are on your site to register their interest and become leads (e.g. via a web form on your site) or recording leads you've met offline manually. Then nurturing and inspiring them to take a next action with you using planned follow-ups, or email or physical mail marketing. Book a 30-minute session if you've got a plan in mind for this and just need a few pointers on questions you've got on doing it in the system. Or, book a 60-minute session if you need more assistance to create web forms or consider your follow-up process (emails / calls / letters) more specifically.
M = Meet: Let's get your leads booking some time with you, shall we? This is the process of taking those interested and inspired leads to take the next step and book an appointment with you. Because your time is one of your most precious commodities, Connectably lets you set rules on your availability and give prospects a choice of appointment slots to book with you directly in your's and their diary when it's convenient for both of you. There's either a step-by-step guide to do this, or if you just want a little help to get it set up just book a 30-minute session with us.
P = Propose: How many times have you had a business meeting, or - in a personal context - a tradesperson come to your house and in either circumstance the person you've met with promise you a quote or a proposal and it never materialises, or if it does be on an underwhelming email or scrap of paper?
Creating a professional looking outcome to a sales meeting is quite a skill to balance quality of output with time it can take to produce. Connectably shortcuts lots of the stages in that otherwise time-intensive process. Your prospects will receive a professional looking quote / proposal attached as a PDF to an email. You can send it from your phone as you're with them or when you've just left the meeting. The proposal will include details of what they're buying from you and they can order (& even pay in full, or an instalment method you create) with the click of a button.
As one of the areas of business and software that can take a business a little bit of time to get a proposal strategy on, this process in your business may take a few calls to get rolled out. Book your first 60-minute session to get started and you'll have a clearer idea of what your options are and how to implement it after that first session.
L = Launch: Once you've sold the work for the client and begun the project or the ongoing working relationship, it's important to manage expectations and activities professionally. If it's a small project, this might just be a simple welcome email and one-page outline of how you work. Book a 30-minute session if you just need a few pointers on how to do either of these things. Or book a 60-minute session if an ongoing working relationship with your new client needs more of an onboarding process and you need more assistance to map out and begin creating the workflows and follow-up automations.
E = Enhance: There's a cross-roads you come to after making the first sale where you can decide one of two directions with a client: just deliver what they've bought and move on to the next sales opportunity and client; or take the initiative to enhance the relationship with them by going the extra mile on service or getting them to a point in the client activities where there's an opportunity to discuss doing more with them.
Digital marketers call this second route an opportunity for an 'upsell' or a 'cross-sell'. This could be where you offer the client an opportunity to buy a premium version of what they're already working with you on (upsell), or something that compliments what you're doing for them (cross-sell).
If you consider your own business, you can probably imagine what those upsells or cross-sells might be for different types of work you do. We can help you plan that out in a more systemised way. To sew the seed of these other services, does your client need to be nurtured with some follow up communications after the first sale? Emails or even letters or cards that put a thought process in their head of what they might find value in next.
Book a 30-minute session if you just need a few pointers on how to do either of these things and what they might look like. Or book an initial 60-minute session if you want to explore in greater depth how to 'Enhance' and build on that initial sale and begin creating the workflows and follow-up automations for that nurturing process (or processes).
R = Refer: If you deliver valued work for your clients then it's important to have a repeatable process where your clients can endorse that work so that others can see it and be attracted to what you do. It creates the warmest leads into any business. How do you become referable? There are four levels of systemising this:
- Asking to be informally referred is the first step.
- Receiving written (or even video) testimonials.
- Recognising a group of your clients as brand advocates and treating them in an extra-special way.
- Developing a referrals or partnerships programme if that's appropriate for your business.
We'd recommend you book a 30-minute session by way of an initial discussion, but plan for further sessions together to get (1), (2) or (3) implemented.
Do you want all 7 x SIMPLER processes in your business?
If you've read the above and think that actually you'd like to systemise all of those processes in your business, then instead of buying blocks in 30-min or 1-hr segments at a time, why not book all 7 components of SIMPLER in one cost-effective package?
The SIMPLER package includes an allocation of 10 x 1hr calls or blocks of work for £875 (£1050 incl VAT), a 30% saving on buying 10 x 1-hr blocks separately. Just place your order via the button below and we'll begin planning your implementation together.
What do I get as an output from the session?
Implementation Outcomes
We'll endeavour to implement the components that we set a plan prior to the session to achieve.
Recordings
When we run your session, we'll ask if you would like it to be recorded. Getting the session recordings allows you to recap on what's been covered, to implement yourself next time.
The recordings can also be used to train your staff on how Connectably is set up and how you're implementing sales and marketing processes.
Can you set up GSuite / Office365 for me?
Yes, we can help. The integration with either the GSuite or Office365 services for email / calendar / tasks is used extensively in Connectably. Using one or the other is a requirement of using the software.
If you are not already using one of these services and if you do not have an IT support person to set it up for you, or do not feel confident doing the set up yourself, we can set either up for you on your domain for a fixed rate fee. GSuite set up is £50+vat, Office365 set up (slightly more complicated) is £75+vat.
If you would like us to do this for you, please just order via either of the links below.
Do you help with data imports?
Yes, we can help you to bring contacts into Connectably from other software and services, for example contacts from email marketing services, existing CRM systems, or other places you have contact information.
For contact data imports, because no data import is the same, let's have a discussion first before we quote you to do any data import work. Just book an appointment via the link below. If you'd prefer to have a go yourself, then take a look at the importing contacts help guide on this page.
Can you train our team?
Yes, we'd love to. Arrange a day either with us in Leeds, or at your offices in your town. Book a training day, or arrange a call to discuss one, using the links below and we'll get a date in the diary.
Shouldn’t the sessions be included in my subscription?
We take pride in being the most cost-effective complete CRM software that integrates with Xero. The strategic value you achieve implementing the 'SIMPLER Method' is worth many times more your investment in our time. And well, we've got bills to pay. We took a decision that we'd keep the software subscription low and cost-effective, but separate from implementation services, rather than charge more for the subscription for implementation support you might not benefit from after the first few months.
See the FAQ: 'So what can we achieve?' above for more details of what we might implement together.
What can’t you help with?
Xero: Although Connectably deeply integrates with Xero, we do not have qualified accountants or bookkeepers on staff. We'll provide some guidance on Xero configuration, but seek professional assistance for matters that impact your legal commitments on managing your bookkeeping and accounting.
Other Integrations: We'll help you set up Zapier integrations with other online software products. Our experience of using those individual 3rd party services themselves is limited to those we use ourselves, but most Zapier integrations have a similar set up process.
Just ask if you have questions about specific 3rd party services. There's a chat messenger function on this page.

What if I need to re-arrange the session?
We understand that life sometimes gets in the way and things come up last minute. If you need to re-arrange a session, please try to provide as much notice as possible. We'll seek to re-arrange appointments if more than 24 hours notice is provided requesting to re-arrange it. If less than 24 hours notice is provided, then you will agree to forfeit that session or pay for an alternative one to be arranged.
To re-arrange, please just reply to the calendar invitation you'll receive when you book your meeting and we'll seek to help re-schedule the meeting to a mutually convenient time.
Is there a guarantee with the session?
If you're unhappy with the way the session has been run or the outcomes of it, please let us know. We don't want any user to be disappointed with their experience. Please see the 'So what can we achieve?' FAQ for a realistic perspective of what we might achieve from a single 30- / 60-minute session.
